Quote 13

"I love the man who can smile in trouble, who can gather strength from distress, and grows brave by reaction. 'Tis the business of little minds to shrink, but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principles unto death." --Thomas Paine

I admire this much strength of character. I wish that I were a stronger person, hanging on to principles that tightly. This quote also makes me think about the way my mind tends to shrink away from difficult things, rather than having a firm heart that faces and even smiles at trouble.
