Halloween
We enjoyed having Grams and Granddad Klish join us for our Reformation Day celebration here at the house. We served the traditional chili, cider, and donuts and put in queso and chips instead of the usual crackers and cheese. Than carved Nathan's enourmous pumpkin--
Nathan requested a crown, so that went on one side with a face squeezed underneath.
Than's impressionistic art was on the other, a candle with the word "Flame" carved over top.
The pumpkin traveled to staff lunch the next day as well, but its huge size couldn't hold up under the lack of filling so it collapsed after that! We enjoyed it all the same, and I think our trick-or-treaters should have been suitably impressed as well. Nathan wore his cowboy bandanna to do our yearly reverse trick-or-treat trip, and proudly presented his homemade lemon muffins to our neighbors.
