I keep this quote to remind me of the similarity that lies can sometimes have to the truth. I believe that real beauty is only found in truth (Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things. --Philippians 4:8). However, the reason lies are so dangerous and so effective is because they mimic what is true and beautiful. As I continue in my spiritual growth, I am amazed at all the things that I have believed that are only partial truths or are masks to the truth.
