Quote 37
"Men are what their mothers made them." --Ralph Waldo Emerson
Sometimes this is comforting and sometimes dreadfully scary! It is sobering but rewarding to think of the huge influence family has on the next generation, and I as a mom have on the way my son sees the world. I am grateful to my mother for giving me the gift of service--the willingness to help where help is needed, the sense that serving others is important and worthwhile, and the pleasure of giving of yourself and seeing others enjoy what they receive. What parts of yourself did your mother give you?
