Here are some highlights from our trip to Idaho for Christmas. We enjoyed spending time with each side of the family, together and separate. Lots of gifts, lots of games, lots of laughing! Nathan got to go ice skating for the first time, Sadie and Chance (the dogs) were popular, as was mom's cat GPA, and the hot tub turned into Nathan's private play pool. Lots of games of ladder golf were enjoyed (come on over if you don't know what we're talking about!) and several jigsaw puzzles were in process. Of course, Reed's Dairy was a must-visit, as was the home of the "Trainman," a retired gentleman that fills 4 rooms of his house with holiday trains, villages, figurines, etc. and invites the public to view for free. Lots of snow fell all during the week, so Nathan experienced sledding and the frigid Idaho cold. The snow also provided a prime pile for staging New Year's midnight fireworks at mom and dad's, while Jan's living room was a warm place to enjoy the Rose Parade the next morning. We were thankful to both sets of parents for hosting us well, and glad to spend time with siblings and in-laws also. Merry Christmas!
