I particularly liked this quote as a teacher, but am also finding it very true as a mom and even as a wife. I guess it is more universal than just the classroom--everyone learns better when they are feeling encouraged rather than belittled. Sometimes it can be tricky finding something to praise in the midst of the learning process, but the effort certainly pays off!
