From My Window

Yesterday was the first day I stayed home alone with both kids, and it definitely had its ups and downs. It was fun to watch them interact, and Katya is growing rapidly, awake much longer, and starting to be smiley and interactive a little. However, we also had our times of crying baby, talkative and argumentative toddler, and impatient, sleep-deprived mommy. Not quite a happy combination! We all survived, and even managed to get some laundry done and dinner made, so overall the day was OK. It was made even better by a suprise visit from our favorite babysitter, arranged by our favorite daddy, so that we could visit our favorite new Mexican restaurant for some queso and time away from our favorite talkative toddler! We're hanging in there, and looking forward to more good times ahead.
