The Ups and the Downs
Down--crying baby, questioning toddler, and pot boiling over on the stove
Up--3 hour naptime with both kids sleeping
Down--wasting time on the internet instead of using the precious silence!
Up--preparing several meals for the freezer, to be shared with other families too
Down--using the computer as a babysitter to buy more time
Up--changing the baby into yet another adorable outfit
Down--6 loads of laundry in one day, thanks to all my "change the baby" habits!
Up--phone call from my sister
Down--snow in April
Up--moisture for my lawn and bulbs
Down--still unplanted garden
Up--hoping someone reads this post
Down--doubting anyone will read this post
Up--reading library books while Nathan cuddles stuffed animals from when I was a kid
Down--wondering if Katya should be awake, no asleep, no awake, no asleep
Up--singing "Only a Boy Named David" with Nathan
Down--getting "Only a Boy Named David" stuck in my head for two days
Up--tea with a friend after Nathan is in bed
Down--wondering if 5:00 and Daddy's return will ever come
Up--surviving and even enjoying yet one more day of life
Just so you know. Yes, someone does read your blog. Probably more someones that you know. Thanks for being faithful during a very busy time of life. I, for one, am very grateful.
Love you all!
