Camping

Last Friday, we enjoyed our first overnight camping trip as a family of 4. Thanks to a long dirt road and an early Friday start, we had our pick of the campsites at Goose Creek Campground in the Pike National Forest. Ours was great, with a stream running behind and beside and plenty of space for our tent and the tent of our friends. The kids did great. Nathan had a particularly good time, throwing endless things in the stream and playing in the mud. We cooked over the fire, took a hike (which Nathan did all by himself), enjoyed conversation late into the night around the fire, and even managed to include our neighbor's dog (who we were dogsitting.) Click on the photo for an album of our trip!
