From My Window

We're finally home from Idaho! We had a great visit with both sets of parents, but it is good to be back where we belong. Nathan was thrilled to see Daddy, his scooter, his golf clubs, his bed, and his trains. Katya slept until 6:30 a.m. without being fed, so that was an amazing treat.

We had an uneventful trip back with Jan and Bruce at the helm of the van and me providing entertainment from the back seat. It was a long drive, and it is a good thing no one had a video camera because by the end my attempts to amuse my kids would have provided some pretty crazy footage! Katya enjoyed slobbering and smearing a baby teething cracker all over herself, and Nathan spent lots of time on his "computer" and playing with his trains, potty training prizes from Grandma.

Today has been blissfully quiet with time in my jungle of a garden, a walk down the "lane" as Nathan calls it, a visit with a neighbor, and some unpacking. It is good to be home!
