Not Pictured--the difficult Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday that followed!

Than really hurt his back setting up for the church picnic, so Sunday evening onward was a very stressful and painful time for him, and a stressful time for me too. I was one grouchy mommy by yesterday afternoon!! Than is very slowly feeling better, though, so I think we will all survive. It helps me gain perspective to remember the great time we had together Saturday, the bright moments that have poked up in the midst of dark days, and the reality that life continues to go on and things will get better. I visited my own garden in the backyard yesterday, and was greatly comforted by the beauty of God's creation, as well as the pleasure of clipping some lovely flowers to cheer up our house indoors as well as out. God gives us gardens, and I am glad.
