OK, it has been a long time since I posted--so much going on around her
e! Than's parents have been visiting since early in the month and the kids are loving the extra attention and playmates. Nathan composed an e-mail on the piano (yes, different kind of keyboard, but he said he was typing!) today thanking them for bringing Sadie (their dog) along. A few highlights from the past few weeks...
baking gingerbread cookies for a 5th/6th grade party at our house and for our neighbors
decorating cookies as a family a few mornings later
watching our thankful chain grow as we record our gratitude for so many nice gifts and actions from friends and family
celebrating Advent each night, watching Nathan learn more and more details of the story and Katya chew on the Little People nativity figures
working through the stresses as well as the joys of this season with our kids--Katya has taken up screaming as her new hobby and Nathan is still primo in the whining department. We're working on it!
We look forward to lots of fun gatherings with various parts of our families in the weeks ahead. More later, I am sure!
